The King is majestically seated on the throne with all confidence of a man who built a mountain. The tow sides of his throne are decorated with the semantic- tawny. Symbol of the unity of upper and Lower Egypt, signifying his rule over the two halves of the country. Perched on the back of the throne. Behind the Kings head, the god Horus in the form of a Falcon spreads his wings around the kings head in a gesture of protection. Old Kingdom. 4th Dynasty, reign of Khafre ( c. 2558-2535 Bc) . King Khafre was the son of kheops and Henutsen of the 4th dynasty, and thus the half-brother of his predecessor, Djedefre. He was married to his half-sister Khamernebti I, with whom he had a son, Mykerinos, and a daughter, khamernebeti II. He was also married to Meresankh III , a daughter of Kawab and Hetepheres II , with whom he had at least four sons: Nebemakhet, Niuserre , Khenterka and Duaenre, and one daughter, Shepsestkau.
